Dr. Alexander Koller

From August 2008 until March 2011, Alexander Koller was heading the Junior Research Group Efficient Algorithms in Computational Linguistics.

Research interests

Alexander's research interests are centered around the development of formal models and computational methods for problems in computational linguistics. He developed the fastest known solvers and inference mechanisms for underspecified semantic representations and is interested in an improved understanding of grammar formalisms and their relationships.

Within the cluster, Alexander   focused on natural language generation, applications of AI planning to natural language, and communication in virtual environments.
