Dr. Aniket Kate

Aniket Kate headed the Independent Research Group Cryptographic Systems within the Cluster of Excellence from August 2012 until September 2015.

Short CV

I am a junior faculty member and an independent research group leader at Saarland University in Germany, where I am heading the Cryptographic Systems Research Group within the Cluster of Excellence. Before joining Saarland University in 2012, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS), Germany (Host: Michael Backes). I received my PhD from the University of Waterloo, Canada in 2010 (Advisor: Ian Goldberg), and my masters from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Bombay, India in 2006.

My research focuses on developing (provably secure) cryptographic systems for privacy and distributed trust.

Research interests

My research focuses on developing (provably secure) cryptographic systems for privacy, accountability, and trust. My general research interest lies towards bridging the gap between the current cryptographic and systems researches.
